    Frequently asked questions

Is converting PDF to TXT free?

Yes, completely free. No account, no daily limit, no watermark and no queue.

    Do scanned PDFs work?

Scanned PDFs are photos of pages with no selectable text, and this tool does not perform OCR. PDFs created on a computer work fine.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. It works on iPhone, iPad and Android, with no app to install.

Is there a file size limit?

There is no size limit set by us. Files of hundreds of MB convert too; very large files take longer and are handled more comfortably on a computer than on a phone.
