    Why convert HEIC to JPG?

To convert HEIC files to JPG, drop them on the counter above. HEIC photos from an iPhone will not open on many Windows PCs, websites and upload forms. JPG opens on every device, keeps photos small, and almost every upload form accepts it.

For future shots you can also switch your iPhone to Settings › Camera › Formats › “Most Compatible”.

Most files convert in seconds: no queue, no email address, and the JPG result saves straight to your computer or phone.

How to convert HEIC to JPG

    1. Add your HEIC files

Drag your HEIC files onto the counter, pick them with Choose files or paste from the clipboard with Ctrl+V. You can add several at once.

    2. Check the settings

The defaults suit most cases. Change quality, size or other options if you like; after a change, one click converts again.

    3. Conversion starts by itself

Each file is converted to JPG and its row is stamped CONVERTED.

    4. Download your JPG file

Get the file with Download. With several files you can download them all as one ZIP.

    About the formats

    HEIC

    High Efficiency Image Container

HEIC is the format iPhones and iPads save photos in by default. It takes roughly half the space of JPG at the same quality, but Windows, websites and upload forms often cannot open it.

    Joint Photographic Experts Group

JPG (JPEG) is the most widely used format for photos. It compresses lossily, discarding detail the eye barely notices to keep files small. It supports neither transparency nor animation.

    Frequently asked questions

Is converting HEIC to JPG free?

Yes, completely free. No account, no daily limit, no watermark and no queue.

What happens to a transparent background?

JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white. You can choose black or any other colour in the settings.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. It works on iPhone, iPad and Android, with no app to install.

Is there a file size limit?

There is no size limit set by us. Files of hundreds of MB convert too; very large files take longer and are handled more comfortably on a computer than on a phone.
