Why split a PDF?
Need to send two pages out of a hundred-page report, or cut a scanned document into its parts? Drop the PDF on the counter above. Its page count shows at once; type the pages you want and press Split PDF.
There are three ways: every comma-separated range becomes its own PDF, all the pages you pick are gathered into one PDF, or every page goes into a file of its own. When there are several files you download them as one ZIP.
New files are named after their pages (report-01-03.pdf and so on), so you can see at a glance which pages each one holds.

-
Download
One file downloads as a PDF; several download together as one ZIP.
How to write a page range
| 1-3 | Pages 1, 2 and 3 |
|---|---|
| 5 | Page 5 only |
| 8- | Page 8 to the last page |
| -4 | The first page to page 4 |
| 1-3, 5, 8- | Three files with “Each range as its own PDF”; all in one file with “Selected pages in one PDF” |
| 5, 1-3 | Page 5 comes first with “Selected pages in one PDF” |
Separate ranges with commas, semicolons or spaces. If a range goes past the last page, the file is stamped FAILED and its row says how many pages it has.

Frequently asked questions
Is splitting PDFs free?
Yes, completely free. No account, no daily limit, no watermark and no queue.
How do I extract a single page from a PDF?
Type the page number in Pages (for example 4) and press Split PDF. A new PDF with just that page downloads.
Can I save every page as a separate PDF?
Yes. In “How to split”, choose “Every page as its own PDF”. Each page becomes its own file, named report-01.pdf, report-02.pdf and so on, and they all download in one ZIP.
Does splitting lower the quality?
No. Pages are not rebuilt but copied as they are, so text, fonts and images stay identical to the originals.
Can I split several PDFs at once?
Yes. Every PDF you add is split with the same settings. If the range goes past a file’s last page, that file is stamped FAILED and its row says why.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. It works on iPhone, iPad and Android, with no app to install. Pick your PDFs from the Files app or your downloads.
