Add a signature to a PDF
PNG, JPG or WebP. Small images are sharpened with AI automatically; a PNG with a transparent background gives the cleanest result.
Open your letter, contract or form; draw your signature or pick a transparent signature image, then drag it under your name. Text and pages stay as they were.

- No watermark
Sign a PDF without printing it
A cover letter, lease, permission slip or consent form: a PDF waiting for your signature no longer needs printing, signing and scanning again. Drop the PDF in the box above, add your signature and download the signed file.
There are two ways to add a signature. Draw it in the pad with your mouse, a finger on a touch screen or a pen, or pick a signature image you already have. A PNG with a transparent background is used as it is; for a signature written on white paper and scanned or photographed, the white of the paper is removed and only the ink stays.
The signature sits on the page as a box: drag it under your name and pull its bottom-right corner to make it larger or smaller. You can place the same signature on several pages, or different signatures on one page. The pages in your download are not rebuilt; text stays selectable and the signature is added to the page as an image.

Frequently asked questions
How do I add a signature to a PDF?
Drop the PDF in the box above, sign in the Draw tab or pick your signature image in the Image tab, and press Add to page. Drag the signature into place, then press Download signed PDF.
Is this a legally binding e-signature?
No. This tool adds an image of your handwritten signature to the PDF; it is not a certificate-based digital signature. Use it wherever a scanned copy of a signed document is accepted; if the recipient requires a digital signature, you need a signing certificate.
How do I add my transparent signature?
Pick your PNG file in the Image tab. Transparent parts stay transparent, so the signature does not cover the lines or text on the page.
Can I use a photo of my signature on paper?
Yes. Sign on white paper with a dark pen, take a photo and pick it in the Image tab. With “Remove white background” on, the white of the paper is removed and only the ink stays; the brighter and less shadowed the photo, the cleaner the result.
Can I sign several pages, or add more than one signature?
Yes. Move between pages with the arrows and add the same signature to each; the signatures you add stay in a list. You can also draw a different signature and place a second one on the same page.
Is signing a PDF free?
Yes, completely free. No account, no daily limit, no watermark and no queue.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. It works on iPhone, iPad and Android, with no app to install. Pick your PDFs from the Files app or your downloads.
