Remove a plain background in one tap
A signature on white paper, a logo on a white field, a product shot against a plain backdrop: put them on a document, a slide or a website and the background shows as a box. Here you remove that colour with one tap and turn the image into a PNG with a transparent background.
When the image opens, the colour around its edges is picked for you and the preview shows the transparent result right away. To remove another colour, tap it on the image. Tolerance sets how much of the similar shades go; edge smoothing sets how soft the transitions are.
With Only remove areas touching the edges on, the same colour inside the subject (the whites of eyes, the inside of letters) stays. The halo the background leaves on edges is cleaned too. Save as PNG, WebP or as JPG on a background colour of your choice.

How do I make a white background transparent?
Drop the image on the counter above; the white around the edges is picked and removed. Adjust the tolerance while watching the preview and download as PNG.
How do I remove the background from a signature?
Add a photo or scan of the signature; the paper’s colour is picked. Set the tolerance between 20 and 35, keep edge smoothing low and download as PNG. To sign a document, you can also use the PDF signing tool.
Are white areas inside the image removed too?
Not with Only remove areas touching the edges on; only areas joined to the outer backdrop turn transparent. Turn it off to remove that colour everywhere in the image.
Can it remove a busy background from a photo?
This tool is for plain backgrounds. For busy backgrounds behind people, products or animals, use AI background removal.
Can I put a different background colour behind it?
Yes. Under Background, choose White or Colour and pick the colour you want.
Can I do several images at once?
